Eugene’s Parent-Child Preschool

Admission Policy

EPCP does not discriminate against students because of race, color, ethnic or national origin, gender, faith group, sexual orientation, or physical or developmental disability.Students are admitted to all the programs and activities and availed all the rights and privileges generally accorded or made available to students at the Preschool.

Enrollment

Enrollment is limited to 20 children in the Four’s Class, 18 children in the Three’s Class and 10 per session in the Two’s Classes.

Admission Requirements

EPCP follows the September 1^st cut-off age for enrollment used in the Eugene 4J School District. (A child must be two years old by September 1^st to be enrolled in the Two’s, three by September 1^st for the Three’s Class, etc.)Exceptions for the Two’s Classes are made with Board and Teacher approval, although the child is required to repeat the Two’s Class the following year. Exceptions for children aged six and over also require Board and Teacher approval.

Applications for the following school year are accepted beginning January 1st for current and former members and March 1st for the general public.Following application to EPCP, members will receive the necessary forms to fill out prior to the beginning of school and turn in shortly thereafter.The forms include immunization records, Parent Responsibility Contract, Registration and Emergency Medical Release Form, Background Check Authorization and Field Trip Permission.

Child Attendance and School Schedule

EPCP follows the Eugene 4J School District’s term, holidays and vacations.Any changes in the schedule are communicated to the membership either through phone call, email or in person.For questions about attendance for an ill child, please refer to the Health Information section.

Weather Policy

EPCP will follow the Eugene 4J School District weather policies.Whenever 4J schools are closed or delayed due to weather conditions, we WILL NOT have school that day.District weather closures and delays are announced on radio, television or posted on http://www.valleyinfo.net/
